Hill+Knowlton Strategies' Maxim Behar has been elected Chairman of the Communications Forum in Davos
Each year the “Communication on Top” forum in Davos summons dedicated professionals and skilled trend-makers to its annual global conference for sharing best practices, new strategies, insights and creative ideas that will help improve the world of communications. The core of the summit is an open dialogue uniting CEOs of leading companies and communication experts from high-rank world organizations, political and state-run institutions, NGOs, research centres, media units, and internet communities.
Now, the chairman of Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Prague, Maxim Behar, has been elected Chairman after a secret vote of twenty five Board members.[Maxim Behar]
"This is an exceptional recognition for our business in Czech Republic, for my native Bulgaria, my colleagues from Hill+Knowlton, for everything we have achieved in these 20 years in the PR business," Behar says. "It is also good news for the British Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic", he adds.
He has been present at the Forum since its very first day, has delivered a number of lectures and has participated in debates, and has been a fully-fledged member of the Board for two years.
Two more Board members received the same number of votes, leading to the decision to have three Co-chairs managing the Forum – Maxim Behar, Andre Manning, Vice President Corporate Communications of Royal Philips Electronics, and Janina Dubeykovskaya, Program Director of the Forum in Davos.
Behar says the idea to co-chair the Forum was an interesting experiment that would allow each of the three to focus on different topics and make their constant meetings across the globe with local PR organizations more effective.
Maxim Behar has extensive PR experience spanning for over 25 years, and is a renowned expert in the field. His creative personality has a strong influence on Bulgaria's political and business life. He is the treasurer of the ICCO Executive Board and founder and CEO of the leading Bulgarian PR company M3 Communications Group. Since 2012, he has been head of Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Prague, who are members of the British Chamber.
Behar is member of numerous Bulgarian and international boards and lectures at universities across the globe. He is also the honorary consul of the Seychelles in Bulgaria.
M3 Communications Group, Inc. was founded in 1994. It offers full-package communication services including public and media relations, event management, marketing communications and advertising, business conferences and meetings, media monitoring, and web services.
The PR Forum Communication on Top in Davos sets the goal to bring together communication experts and innovators and provide a platform for exchange of ideas, trends and strategies. 150 people from 35 countries attended it this year, which was a record in the Forum's history.
